The Real Deal

On Saturday the 5th, the real College football season began. No sooner than it began that the Oklahoma Sooners threw a wrench into every poll in the nation, not to mention the potential National Championship. Can they recover from the loss of their Heisman Trophy winner? I don’t think so. He is the wheel that turns that machine. He really runs that offense. Intelligence and accuracy can win an awful lot of football games. Football’s meaning of intelligence- the ability of a quarterback to understand his offense, the capabilities of his teammates and his limitations. Accuracy- putting the football where his teammates can do the most with it. Sam Bradford fits both of those descriptions. If he returns in time he may make the Big 12 interesting but with Landry Jones, Oklahoma will be fortunate to get ahead of Oklahoma State or Baylor in the Big 12 South. I just don’t see it. Check back in three months.
